How Marvel Rivals Proves the Power of Transmedia
I've never been a Marvel fan. I watched some of the movies and series over the years but it never truly spoke to me.

As a former vivid Overwatch fan (pre-franchising mind you ;), when Marvel Rivals came out my ears perked. Then seeing it every where around me in my universe; esports teams picking up players, lots of big streamers playing it and interesting tournaments happening, I could no longer ignore it.
I’ve spent a few evenings in a row playing it now, watching streamers and following tournaments. Initially it made me want to get my McCree on, but now I am and loving the game (Bucky ftw). Not just for the gameplay, but I am getting drawn into the universe, trying to understand the lore and community memes. I just told my wife (to her delight), that I want to watch the movies and series — we started with Captain America last night.
Marvel Rivals and its approach just shows the power of transmedia. If you engage the user in a way that speaks to them, you can draw them in and make them a life long fan. This is how you make a game stick around in this overcrowded space.
If this way of community building speaks to you, that’s exactly what we do with ELO, so please reach out! We look at your game holistically and strategically and together built a tailored approach for your community. We don’t just do an influencer campaign, $100k esports tournament or a sandbox game. We do a fully engaged approach that ties all elements together in a way that suits your game.
